   Again, I think that putting all the attachements of all messages
of all folders into one single directory is a very bad idea. 

   For one, from looking at the directories, there is no way to
relate the attachment file to the message file. 

   Second, because it forces the mail program to create unique file
names which then probably have no relation to the actual filename
given in the MIME header of that message part. 

   The simplest solution programwise and the easiest for the user is
to have the attachments being located right next to the message
itself, and having the filename of the message as a directory name in
which the original filenames given in the MIME-headers can be used.
