True - but having successfully recovered a lot of "deleted" data from 
hard drives over the years, using a variety of methods - it's not like 
it's "truly gone" until you've tried a recovery method beyond throwing 
your arms in the air, saying "oh well, that's that!" while your online 
community you asked for help cheerfully reprimands and scolds you for 
not doing a recent backup.
